Catalyst Seafood Restaurant & Lounge

Such a great surprise! We weren’t sure what to expect — tacos and fish & chips can really be hit or miss — but Catalyst completely impressed us. I ordered the tacos and my husband got the fish & chips with a cup of chowder to start. Everything was delicious! The fish in the fish & chips was probably one of the best I’ve ever had — crispy, fresh, and flavorful. The place was clean, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff was super friendly. Really good experience overall — we’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you!

Absolutely love the service. Our waitress Taylor (who was also a wonderful bartender and DJ) is a sweetheart. The music selection was perfect, and one of my favorite songs actually started to play just after we sat down. Her and Emma are super awesome, hope to connect again! We ordered the bread bowl, cripsy oysters, and fish & chips. It was tasty and extremely filling. They also have very reasonable prices and a cozy atmosphere. Drinks were definitely on par. Honestly though, I'd come back just for the service.

The food at Catalyst Seafood Restaurant & Lounge is excellent — fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. You can really taste the quality in their seafood dishes. Service was just okay — not bad, but could be more attentive, especially considering the higher prices. The atmosphere is comfortable and upscale, making it a nice spot for a special night out. It is a bit expensive, but if you’re looking for great seafood and don’t mind paying a little extra, it’s definitely worth a visit.

Probably the best Seafood place in Brookings. Absolutely amazing Clam Chowder. Fresh caught fish. If you’re in Brookings for seafood, this place is an absolute must try place. They are busy, but the staff is friendly and fast. Can’t beat it.

We were passing thru Brookings for 2 nights. We stayed at Harris Beach State Park and came here the 1st night. What an amazing experience. We got the whole crab dinner, fish and chips and crab cakes. We had 3 people and it was quiet the entire dinner bc we were stuffing our faces w some amazing food. Everything was so fresh being that Catalyst is right by the water. Servers were friendly and awesome. One gal had on a brown sweatshirt and showed it off well that I bought the same hoodie. $25 baby!!! We finished off the dinner w red velvet cheesecake. So u think that’s the review right!?!???? NO WAY JORGE! This place was so good we came back the 2nd night ;) the only thing we swapped out was the crab cakes for the crab tacos. My mouth is salivating thinking about the damage we r gonna do right now ;) love the Oregon sales tax or lack thereof so I made sure to tip our servers for the great job they did. Btw, the pix I am adding to this review r from the 2nd night. We were famished and forgot to take pix ;) whole crab dinner is a ridiculous deal. Came w clam chowder, garlic mash, sautéed veggies. Fish and chips were so fresh too and gr8888888 price at $16-$18.

The food and service were excellent. Hands down my favorite chowder of the road trip. For the fish and chips - the fish was crispy and tender tender, the fries were crispy on the outside while still tender on the inside. The ciabatta bun on the sandwich was soft and fluffier than we've experienced at other places. Sit outside if the interior vibes aren't for you. Definitely a must try when in the area!
